Congratulations to Charley Vaughan and Peter Freeman for doing such a fine job representing TIC Talkers at last Saturday's Area contest. Peter placed first in the Table Topics competition while Charley placed a close second in the International speech contest. Both members will go on to compete at the Division level on May 5th.
The evening was hosted by TIC Talkers and was a tremendous success, with approximately fifty toastmasters and guests in attendance. Contest chair Keith Dexter kept the audience engaged with his humorous quips while proceeding smoothly through the evening's busy agenda. Chief Judge Bob Marshall and Contest Sergeant-at-Arms John Blumsum ensured that the competition proceeded efficiently according to Toastmasters International exacting standards. An outstanding spread of food and refreshments organized by Patricia Bell and Peter Freeman (and their obliging spouses) drew raves from attendees. It was a wonderful evening and one not soon to be forgotten.
